Not my VP any more

While I still enjoy his books, Bennett is no longer my choice for Vice President.

After you call conservatives a name, like Dems would do, I think he will have some work to do to get my respect again.

Second time I was wrong this election so far...too bad.

What a pep talk

1. Its telling when you use that as your title.
2. Its great to tell Conservatives that two of your biggest issues, immigration and abortion, both don't matter any more.
3. No, Americans want the gov't to reacquire control of the southern boarder, not just party loyalists.
4. So its a tough problem, illegal immigration, so just leave them alone.
5. Its amazing how the two least important issues, John McCain is weakest on from the "base's view". He may be pro-life, but how many would even know it?
6. The sub-title also irks me, I am not a party loyalist, I am American first, Conservative, then a Republican (for now at least), but conservatives are annoyed, disappointed by many things McCain does and says. If they were loyalists though, they would suck it up and vote for him anyway, time will see what they do.

Smoke and Mirrors

1. This could be a move that a Clinton would do, whether Romney said it or not; how is this different than the 50 things McCain has said and done differently since he started running for Pres.

2. Not only does it distract from all the non-conservative policies McCain has pursued, it puts Romney on the defensive and highlights really the one right thing McCain has gotten right since 2000.

3. Even if McCain now says he will nominate "conservative" judges, though not Alito apparently, I had forgot about this too

"McCain also sold out on judicial nominations by making his own side deal with the Democrats, undercutting Republican attempts to stop Democrats from filibustering judicial nominees instead of voting them up or down.

This is quite a record for someone running as a straight talker."
